My professional life has settled around writing and education, particularly Native-American education. I write short stories when time allows and have published one collection. |
Spouse:
Karen |
I have drafts of a novel and another story collection, and am working on a non-fiction book based on Yaqui and Tohono O'odham stuidents I taught 15-20 years ago. In 1987 my wife Karen and I, and a poet friend, founded a non-profit, ArtsReach, that provides writing programs for Native American communities. It is now part of the Tucson Indian Center. My wife and I would travel year-round if we could. Favorite trips: Costa Rica, Tuscany, Iceland. We like scuba diving, whitewater rafting, and gawking at works of art. |
