Like many of you I went to the U of A. Thought I wanted to be an engineer for a while, but all the fun people seemed to be in Liberal Arts, so I majored in Sociology. |

Then went to Library School
and got a job as a librarian for Burroughs, the computer company (now
Unisys). After a few years I decided I liked programming better than
librarying and transfered to Software at Burroughs. I've been doing
various kinds of programming ever since, working on mainframes, desktop
systems, laser printers, mini-supercomputers, a Mac emulation program,
networking and ASIC validation. After several startups going belly-up
on me, my last company got bought by Intel and the stock options are
worth a bunch! I've been married a few times, raised Jeremy (now in the Air Force) and gotten very involved in the Unitarian Church. I often wonder what became of various friends from Catalina - I hope to come to a reunion. |
